HUNTER

The hunter is a thriller about a detective who is looking for the person who has been murdering people. They used different camera shots and editing techniques to make their thriller good.

Editing
So for example when it came to editing, right at the begin the introduce their production with a sort of background music. This is good because the Sound is very loud so it would be able to grab the audiences attention by creating a sort of adrenaline. They also had headings throughout the thriller, which was stating the people who were involved with the film.

Sound
And when it came to the Sound in their thriller they had included non-diegetic sound and diegetic sound. The non- diegetic sound was the background music that was played throughout the whole thriller. This non-diegetic sound was very effective when it came to their thriller because the background music was intense and created a suspicious effect to the thriller. Making the audience feel that this movie is serious. Then when it came to the diegetic sound, it was when we heard the the connection of the baseball bat on the young mans head. This created a thriller effect because, it was a shock to the audience because they would have never known that, that was about to happen.

Camera
There were loads of different camera shot use in this thriller which is very good because it creates a sort of intense environment. Throughout the thriller they had used a steady cam so we could see the footsteps the detective was going in and it also helps the audience engage with the detective and helping to find this murder.  At the beginning they used a long shot to show the place that he was located at. Then there was a bit of Shot/Reverse Shot and over the shoulder shot when they were having a conversation, this is to show how deep the conversation between them was going. Then lastly there was the jump cut, this is when the young detective had been hit over the head by a baseball bat, it shows that everything had blacked out and he was unconscious.

Mise En Scene
And lastly in the Mise En Scene it was set in school, like a kind of MI5 movie. Using the school is a good scenery because schools are usually big which means that there is more room for them to shoot there scene but also it will be more difficult for them to be able to find the murder because the school is so big,
